The Bigger Picture: How Content & Photography Work Together to Increase Engagement

Your website is your online store front, and like a traditional store you want it to be neat, tidy and convenient for customers. Making it easy for them to engage with your site (request a quote, download a content offer, etc.), find what they need and ultimately purchase your product or service.

So, how do you tidy up a website and make it more engaging? With a user friendly design and good content! And while each of these elements can be helpful on their own, they are much more effective when they are used together to tell a compelling story. This is an approach that we took when redesigning some website pages for our client, EPS Security.

At the beginning of November, we revamped a section of their website to include new, customer-centric content and more images that illustrate how products could be used in customer's homes. These elements were used to tell the story of how EPS solutions can be used to "provide peace of mind for your people, places and things".

After this refresh, we saw an increase in engagement metrics (average session duration, pages per session and form submissions) in this section of the site. By making it easy for potential customers to find the information they were looking for, it increased their engagement!

What brought you to MINDSCAPE?

I had been searching for a new company in the digital marketing field that had a great presence in the industry professionally, as well as a great work culture. MINDSCAPE was the perfect fit. Networking through mutual friends got me a meeting with Pete. I’m so excited and fortunate to be here.

What do you do here?

I am the Content Specialist, so I handle all the photography & videography duties and assist with design needs as well.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to be outside, so hammocking, boating, hiking, going to the beach, whenever I can be out in the sun. I am a big music fanatic, I go to shows and concerts with my friends almost every other weekend. I will also admit to watching way too much TV, I love my seasonal shows and binge watch a lot of shows on Netflix.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Why?

I would definitely have to say teleportation, I’m always wanting to travel and see what the world has to offer and all it's different cultures and landscapes. So having the ability to go anywhere I want instantly would be amazing.
